Solent Baits Black Squid
Black Squid

What is Black Squid ?

From Solent Baits This is Calimari Squid soaked in Cuttlefish ink
(Black Squid )
The ink soaks in makes it seriously attractive to fish some great catches from these black squid.
last season the black squid caught loads of big Cod and Rays too we took some to Norway and it absolutely smashed it there too,
catching huge Cod and Coalfish.

HOW DO I  USE IT ?

The best way to fish with Black  Squid is whole on a pulley pennel rig 3/0 Sakuma Manta Extra  or Cox and Rawle uptide 3/0 Mustad or similar quality hook ,

or bigger  ,if from the beach or boat ,which allows great bait presentation too ,

a few turns of bait elastic makes the perfect bait presentation too

MAKE SURE YOU DONT MASK THE HOOK POINT .

we sell Supermatch rigs for beach and boat fishing  on our rigs page

What species will it catch ?

Black Squid will catch Cod,Bass,Bream ,Rays etc

If fishing for smaller species Example  Bream wrasse  etc use cut up strips and a smaller hook
